Contain. Corrupt. Control.

This British movie started kind of intense and then went completely off the f’ing rails! The story starts with a guy bringing his Indian girlfriend home for Christmas to meet his racist family and a shit show starts almost immediately. In the midst of the family fighting, they get trapped in the house by outside mysterious forces and a given a series of weird tasks through the TV from an unknown source…each one crazier and more dangerous than the last.

This one had a lot of religious under and overtones LOL. Some of the special effects were a little lackluster, but I’m sure they were probably working with a limited budget…this wasn’t a big studio/big budget film. But I will say that the cast (Sam Gittins, Neerja Naik, David Bradley, Abigail Cruttenden, Grant Masters, Holly Weston & Kris Saddler) did crazy and scared and paranoid really, really well. The ending was kinda mind-blowing (and not necessarily in a good way). This sci-fi horror gave me Mother vibes…and we all know how I feel about that one. Proceed at your own risk!
