You’ll see, Peter. People…need to believe. And nowadays, they’ll believe anything.
Let me start by saying Tom Holland is my favorite Spider-Man…maybe its the fact that when he started in the role he was an actual teenager or damn near close and still has that very naive, youthful, fun vibe to him and his portrayal. With that said, I like his Spider-Man films because they are super fun to watch and funny.
The storyline in this one was cool…the acting was on point as well…and Jake Gyllenhaal was a great addition. The graphics and visual effects were well done. I love how this one combined the regular live action with the heavy visual effects/CGI that had a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse feel to it (that one was really good by the way…might be my favorite Spidey movie). I also appreciated the mix of seriousness/drama with the awkwardness and comedy…which should be in a story about a teenage superhero who is just trying to grow up and find himself but also be a regular teenager from Queens at the same time. I also liked how it set up the next film in the series, so as usual, keep watching after the credits to see that little sneak peek…can’t wait until the next installment.
Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. Stark said you wouldn’t get that because it’s not a Star Wars reference.
