Our Souls At Night (2017)

I’ve spent my whole life worrying about what people think.

I love a cute love story…just makes me feel good on the inside…and one that happens later in life just shows that there’s still hope for me yet LOL. And to top it off, it starts one of my favorite on-screen couples…Robert Redford and Jane Fonda (Barefoot in the Park is one of my absolute faves…I dare you to name a cuter movie!) These two are like fine wine…they just get better with age…especially Mrs. Fonda (she’s amazing in Grace and Frankie).

Everything was great in this movie, even though it didn’t make much of a splash when it was released by Netflix. The writing was exceptional, just enough back story and character development; no scene was overly padded. It was a cute story about a second chance at love and happiness (I love seeing diverse love stories…its not everyday you see a love story revolving around a couple of 70-something year olds…and they were too cute). Dealing with all the themes that make for a compelling story (family drama, redemption, second chances, love, etc.) This one had me hooked. Currently streaming on Netflix.
