Blow the Man Down (2020)

This was a really well-done seaside thriller. Two sister are coping with the grief of their mother’s passing when they are thrown into the underbelly of their coastal village. This film gives me “Cape Fear” and mafia-type vibes, but is a really good directorial/writing debut for Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy. The tone and atmosphere of the film was chilly and cold and went perfect with the story. The cast was amazing (Sophie Lowe, Morgan Saylor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, June Squibb, Marceline Hugot, Annette O’Toole and Will Brittain amongst others). If you’re looking for something different or just a fresh story with some badass females, give “Blow the Man Down” a watch. Currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
