This film was a mashup of a comedy and a thriller with somewhat of a Hitchcock-esque feel to it…not quite sure if it works though. Blake Lively was glamorous and psychotic with hints of her “Gossip Girl” character and gave a pretty good performance. It was nice to see Hollywood giving Henry Golding leading man status after his big turn in “Crazy Rich Asians” but sometimes, he comes across kind of stiff to me. Anna Kendrick was good and gave it that comedic, light touch. Oftentimes it just seemed to be doing too much. But somehow overall, kinda unforgettable.
