Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)

The first time I watched this is when I first fell in love with Hugh Grant…he was in his floppy-haired heyday in this one. He was so bumbling cute…”There I was, standing there in the church, and for the first time in whole life I realized I totally and utterly loved one person. And it wasn’t the person next to me in the veil. It’s the person standing opposite me now…in the rain.” Cue Barry White. (Where is this guy in my life (minus the jilting the bride thing LOL)?!) One of the more iconic scenes from a rom com. This cutely, funny British film by Richard Curtis (“Love Actually”) was an improbable story about love and friendship and starred a wonderfully talented and eclectic cast of big names of the day including Grant, Andie MacDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Hannah and Rowan Atkinson. And between me and you, this was way better than the Hulu series they turned it into last year. Currently streaming on Starz.
