We need to help our children become more and more aware that what is essential in life is invisible to the eye.
I love a good documentary! And this was a feel-good nostalgic trip that came at a time when our country needs it most. 2018 had some some pretty big critically-acclaimed docs to come out (RBG, Free Solo, etc.). Generations grew up on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood…I know I did (even though I thought all his puppets were creepy AF)…so this should be a nice trip down memory lane for most folks (I watched it on a flight to L.A. and even learned some new things). I highly recommend this one because in 2019, we could all use a little reminder to love our neighbor, be nice and inclusive! Currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
If you take all of the elements that make good television and do the exact opposite, you have ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’. Low production values, simple set, an unlikely star. Yet, it worked.
